I work in legislative communications for a nonprofit

organization and formerly served as managing

editor for a publication and freelance writer for a

small newspaper.

I live near Austin, Texas, with my young

daughter, six horses, two ponies, three cats, two

dogs, and one large husband.

Animals enrich our lives, and we hope they feel the

 same way about us. No matter what, there's

always someone there to give us unconditional

love.

I am truly blessed to be loved and count these

Charlie's the boss out at the ranch.  If we get a new horse, that one might be the boss for a while, but eventually Charlie will wear them down and he'll be king again. He nods and his bottom lip moves sometimes just like Mr. Ed. He loves being scratched on his forehead near that white spot.
